Contribution Limits


The maximum amount that can be put into a 401k retirement account in a single calendar year by both the employee and/or the employer. These limits are set by the IRS annually. The individual contribution limit for 2024 is $23,000, catch up an additional $7,500. The total overall contribution limit, including employer and employee contributions, is $69,000.
